At Wentworth 2012
We arrived at Wentworth golf club at 8am on the final day to go straight onto the third hole where we found ECCO’s sponsored players Thomas Bjorn Lee Westwood and Graeme McDowell coming down the fairway- the decision we had to make about who to follow soon became easy after catching a glimpse of these top players. It was still early so not much of a crowd had built up and we could see both Thomas and McDowell in The Ecco world-class and their caddies in Ecco Street shoes
The day was a scorcher (at this rate, our own glimpse of summer!) and so we were thankful for the shade of the trees and plenty of water stops that the stunning Wentworth Course provided. We followed the team until the 13th hole where we decided to move back and see the team that was following, which included Rory McCrory fighting his most frustrating time of the tournament. We followed him to the 18th, we took a well earned rest and headed into the stands where the view going down the 18th green was fantastic- we were able to watch the players coming down the fairway and hopefully over the water and onto the green after the leaders. The day at Wentworth was definitely one to remember, with the stunning course, brilliant weather and world class Golfers.
So ended a very warm and enjoyable day at Wentworth.
